The Canna Clay Balls are baked clay pellets that form an ideal substrate for use by beginners to the more experienced growers.
The consistently round shape (8-16mm) provides a high degree of aeration, which ensures extremely quick drainage and unrestricted root growth. The clay balls are also less susceptible to pest and disease than other solid substrates. LECA (Light Expanded Clay Aggregate) is an ideal substrate to provide structural support and ensure the efficient drainage of liquid during plant growth and a healthier plant.
Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles are inorganic, have a neutral pH value, are fungus free and do not rot. Canna Aqua Clay Pebbles consist of different components that together form an optimum, diverse structure that is ideal for root development.

Great little product, will have to get more to use in my hydroponic garden next as I have only used them in the bottom of my vertical garden pots to allow the water to flow through without losing the potting mix.
