Star Jasmine Hedging or Ground Cover Pack

Star jasmine thrives in full sun. It will grow in shade, but it grows slowly and produces fewer flowers in a part shade or full shade location. Select a planting site that receives at least eight hours of full sun daily.

Star Jasmine grows fast. It will grow approx 30 – 90 centimetres per year. If you water, fertilise and maintain it well, the hardy plant thrives.

You can grow star jasmine without a trellis as a ground cover, or train it to grow up a trellis or other support. Make sure your trellis is located somewhere that gets between full sun and partial shade so the star jasmine will thrive.

Given the right conditions, the Star Jasmine can reach up to 8m in height when trained as a climbing plant, with an average spread of around 1.5m, so a planting distance of between 1 - 1. 5m is recommended to give it enough space to thrive.

Prune immediately after flowering to allow the development of growth for the next flowering season.

1. Prune dead and unhealthy stems, along with stems that no longer produce flowers.
2. Prune tangled stems and branches growing away from the supporting structure.
3. Prune as needed to obtain the shape you are looking for.

For fast results plant 75cm apart or 1-1.5m apart if you have time and patience. Growth Rate: Fast if in ideal conditions.
